Our Values
Our church is made up of people of all ages, races, and backgrounds. Wherever we have come from we agree that these core values guide us as we move forward.
1. WE ARE A JESUS CHURCH
Jesus is at the center of everything we are and everything we do. He is unrivaled in history and eternity. He is God and He is good. His Name is the only name that saves. His power is the only power that can raise us from the dead. That’s why we say we are a Jesus church. That is the Name we identify with.
And while we love Blueprint Church, we know we are just a small part of the “Big C” Church that Jesus is building in our city and across the earth. Every Jesus church doesn’t look and feel the same, but we all have Jesus at the center. So wherever Jesus is proclaimed as the One Lord and Savior of all, the only way to eternal life, we seek to find ways to celebrate our common faith.
2. THIS IS FAMILY
Just as knowing Jesus is different than knowing about Him, we want to know you as a person and not as a number. Here, every person matters. We honor everyone because each of us is created in the image of God and carry something that matters. We empower people to walk in the gifts they uniquely possess and become the fullest version of who God made them to be.
And we know relationship involves more than a quick hello—it is real, it is deep, and it can be messy. So no matter what “family” has meant to you in the past, we fight for healthy interactions where we choose to be life-giving. We communicate intentionally. We value grace and truth. We will forgive and love each other into our destiny. God invites us all to be His sons and daughters—that makes us family.
3. ENCOUNTER OVER EXCELLENCE
We constantly seek the leading of the Holy Spirit, and we constantly do things to the best of our ability. But as much as we value a spirit of excellence, we value the excellence of His Spirit more.
4. LEAD FROM THE FRONT
Jesus went first. He loved us, served us, and gave up His life for us. We believe in demonstrating that which we expect—faithfulness, humility, authenticity, love.
5. GENEROSITY IS NORMAL
We are the recipients of the greatest gift the world has ever known: the love, grace, and mercy of God. At no cost to us, yet at the highest cost to our Savior, we are now free and forgiven forever. Having freely received, we freely give.
When it comes to money, we give cheerfully. When it comes to serving, we give joyfully. Giving of who we are and what we have is not a pain; it is a privilege. We are generous because He is generous.
